Working Hard For You

"A Successful Law Enforcement Agency is one that works close with the Community."

Over three years have gone by since I was elected to he Office of Sheriff and since then I have worked with focused purpose for the citizens of Tazewell County, and accomplished not only the goals I set forth when elected, but our department has far exceeded my expectations. One goal was to bring a resolution to the double homicide that occurred at Pizza Plus. Through the continued hard work of this Office an arrest was made and recently a life sentence imposed on the murderer. My other goals included bringing important information to the citizens of our county. Through our Facebook page and mobile App we have been able to alert our citizens of to current scams, wanted people, and much more. Our accomplishments have also included creating new local programs including Project Lifesaver, Women's Self-Defense Classes, and most recently - Gun Safety Classes to help our citizens obtain their concealed weapon's permit. We also achieved State Re-Accreditation of the Department, which only 91 Agencies in Virginia can claim! In addition we have upgraded equipment to allow our dispatchers and officers to respond quickly to calls for service with information they need to resolve situations.

Your Sheriff's Office is made up of very experienced and well trained officers who have the desire not only to enforce the law but to truly be of service to the communities in which they live and serve. Our officers have spent hundreds of personal hours helping with various community projects including Litter Clean-Ups, and Educational Programs. I have been extremely honored to serve as Sheriff of Tazewell County over these past years. Among other things - I have been privileged to serve on two Task Forces under two of Virginia's Governors involing School Safety and Prescription Drug Abuse. These are very important issues in our county.

"As you vote on November 3rd - I am asking for the Honor to continue serving the Citizens of Tazewell County."
